Working together

Your business at its best, wherever people find it.

I get to know what you want to achieve, the experience you want customers to have and what you would enjoy building next. We develop the ideas together, and I carry them into the positioning, design and campaigns. You stay close to the decisions, with someone who understands your ambitions taking responsibility for the work.

Ways to work together

A partnership built around
what the business needs.

01 / Ongoing partnership

Ongoing marketing partner

Over time, I come to know the customers, the team and the thinking behind earlier decisions. That understanding makes each new campaign, service or website improvement part of a longer plan. You have someone to develop ideas with and trust with the marketing, as the business grows and new possibilities emerge.

02 / A possible first project

Marketing Opportunity Review

A focused, fixed-price review of your marketing, with recommendations for where to invest next.

03 / A defined priority

A website, a launch,
or a stronger offer

A first project can put a bigger ambition within reach. For a new service, we might develop the positioning and offer, then build the landing page, campaign and sales materials around it. A website overhaul can give an established business a presence that reflects what it has become. The thinking and the production belong to the same piece of work.

A first project can stand on its own or become the start of a longer partnership.

Let’s talk about your business

Marketing Opportunity Review

Where to invest next.

A fresh perspective on where your marketing could take you. I look at the strengths to build on and the opportunities most relevant to your goals, then recommend where to put your attention and investment. We agree the focus and a fixed fee before I begin.

A written assessment
What is already working, what deserves a closer look and where the marketing could contribute more to your goals.
Priorities worth pursuing
The most promising opportunities, with the reasoning and likely effort behind each recommendation.
A recommended starting point
What I would address first, the practical steps involved and what can wait.
A discussion of the findings
We talk through the recommendations, consider your team’s perspective and explore what acting on them could involve.

The recommendations are yours to use, whether we carry them forward together or your team takes it from there.

Each perspective gets a proper hearing.

I make sure each point of view is heard, understood and explained back to the people involved. Then we look beneath the first proposal to what each person is trying to achieve or protect.

The strongest ideas can lead somewhere new.

We find the strongest part of each idea and explore how they could work together. Sometimes a new option emerges; sometimes a small change makes an existing idea better. Often, the perspectives are closer than they first appeared.

A decision with a reason behind it.

I recommend a way forward and explain the reasoning, so people know what they’re supporting. We agree what needs to happen next and who will take it forward.

The understanding carries into the work.

The reasoning stays with the work as I develop the copy, design and materials. Your people remain involved where their experience matters, and I give them the tools and training to use what we build. The shared understanding becomes something they can see, use and feel part of.

Questions

Before we start

What happens in the first conversation?

We spend 30 minutes exploring what you want to achieve and the ideas you’re excited about. I’ll listen and ask questions to understand where I could contribute. The conversation is complimentary. If we decide to explore working together, I’ll follow up with a proposed starting point and fee.

Can we start with one project?

Yes. A Marketing Opportunity Review, website, launch or other defined project can stand on its own. The review is a fixed-price option when you would value a considered recommendation about where to invest. If the priority is already clear, we can begin with the project itself.

How do you work with teams and specialists?

I can lead the marketing or work alongside your staff and existing suppliers. We agree who is responsible for each part. If an outside specialist would add value, I explain the role and cost and coordinate their contribution with the wider work.

How are fees and scope agreed?

For a Marketing Opportunity Review, we agree a focused scope and fixed fee before starting. Other projects are quoted around the work involved. For ongoing support, we agree responsibilities, priorities and a budget. Any proposed change is discussed before we proceed.

How much involvement will you need from us?

Access to someone who knows the business, relevant information and time for the decisions that need your input. We agree who needs to be involved and when, so the work can move without constant checking in.

What results will we measure?

We agree measures that match the purpose. Better-qualified enquiries may matter more than total leads; profitable work may matter more than traffic. We establish a starting point where the information is available.

Getting started

What could we
make possible?

A service with more potential. An idea that keeps coming back. A business you’re excited to build on. There may be more we can do with it together.

A first conversation

A complimentary 30-minute conversation about your ambitions and the ideas you’re excited to explore, with questions and a fresh perspective from me.

A worthwhile place to begin

A fixed-price Marketing Opportunity Review gives you a considered view of where to invest next. If you already have a project in mind, we can start there. Either way, you’ll know the scope and fee before deciding.

Something to build on

The first piece of work gives us a chance to see what we can achieve together. It can be a complete project in its own right, with room for the relationship to develop if it suits us both.
